Romans had an unfair social class system. Plebians were not allowed to vote, run for office, marry patricians, or be lieutenants or sergeants in war. They were treated like this until 484 BCE. They went on strike(refused to fight in war) until the patricians agreed to change their rights. When they did agree plebians were allowed to do what ever patricians could. When they changed the laws plebeians could vote, marry patricians, govern(The Council of Plebs), and be lieutenants and sergeants in war.
